Job Description:

Sports For Life HK is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Director of Advancement to lead our fundraising, partnership, and strategic growth initiatives. This pivotal role is for a visionary leader who can navigate a fast-paced environment and drive our mission forward. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building relationships, securing funding, and expanding networks, particularly within faith-based organizations, NGOs, or startup environments.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-year advancement strategy to expand our global and local partnership networks, increase funding, and grow our community impact.

• Fundraising and Development:

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of major donors, corporate partners, and institutional funders.

  • Lead the development and implementation of all fundraising campaigns, including annual giving, major gifts, and special events.

  • Manage and grow the donor database, ensuring accurate and timely communication and reporting.

• Partnership and Network Expansion:

  • Forge and maintain strategic partnerships with local and international organizations, corporations, and community groups that align with our mission.

  • Represent Sports For Life HK at external events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise our profile and expand our reach.

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of new collaboration opportunities to amplify our impact.

• Marketing and Communications:

  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop compelling case statements, proposals, and marketing materials that effectively communicate our mission and impact.

  • Champion the Sports For Life HK brand and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.

• Team Leadership and Management:

  • Potentially build and lead a small team of advancement professionals in the future.

  • Work closely with the executive leadership and board to align advancement efforts with organizational goals.

Requirements:

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in a senior fundraising, business development, or advancement role, preferably within a faith-based organization, NGO, or startup.

  • Demonstrated success in securing significant gifts from a diverse range of sources, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.

  • Experience working in a multicultural environment with a strong understanding of diverse cultural contexts.

• Education: bachelor's degree or equivalent.
